Location, Location, Location palette review

Another palette, this time using the vast number of amazing locations in Norso:

First up, yes, I know, another palette with 4 promo locations. But c’mon, with this palette, they’re an absolute necessity.

Anyway, thanks to Scour the Abyss, we have a location based win condition. There’s Gorgon Guide, obviously, to find the locations you need. Cliff Dwelling finds my Leifs, or you grab The Abyss. Alliance Headquarters finds Scour the Abyss. You can even chain Guide into Headquarters into Scour the Abyss, though that’s more a late game finisher play as it’ll cost you.

The rest of the palette is a ton of high value locations. Half the cards are 4Δ or above, so Fishing Dock is a 3Δ +4. And if course Charon’s Gate is phenomenal: 3Δ for +3 and not even heroic. Cerberus and Strike of Justice are there for a bit of control, or for trade, and finally Vitki Map Rooms is a solid 2Δ for +1 that replaces itself in your hand, helping you build your boardstate (much like The Veil Chaser’s Nest).

This is a solid palette that builds a hard to remove board state quickly. It’s not going to burst to 30 in two turns like a Rayders can, but it has a certain inevitability once you hit 4-5 locations that’s hard to stop, and will therefore perform much better in grindy games against decks that pack more steal and drain.
